SHARE welcomed the President of the HUJ, and the VP for International affairs, on their second visit to Singapore
SHARE welcomed the President of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Prof Asher Cohen and the Vice President for International affairs, Prof Oron Shagrir, on their second visit to Singapore.
The President and Vice President visited the National Research Foundation, the Campus of Research Excellence And Technological Enterprise (CREATE), Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and the National University of Singapore.
During their visit to the universities, President Cohen and Prof Shagrir met with the respective Presidents, Vice Presidents for Research and Development and distinguished professors. Prof Cohen updated NUS and NTU on the current academic, research and innovation programmes at HUJ and praised the close relationships HUJ has established with NTU and NUS via the participation in the CREATE-led research programmes within SHARE. It was mutually agreed that such global partnerships will enhance future joint programmes to address important needs in Singapore and Israel

The Israeli Ambassador to Singapore, Mr Sagi Karni and Mrs. Karni, hosted a welcoming reception at their residence in honor of Prof Asher Cohen. Also joining the reception were Profs Oron Shagrir, Lee Pooi See and David Engelberg. Prof Shlomo Sasson, Ms. Tali Cliff-Tavor and Ms. Idit Segal represented SHARE.
On the last day of their visit, Profs Cohen and Shagrir participated in the CREATE Symposium on Climate Change, in which a keynote lecture was given by Prof Daniel Rosenfeld from the HUJ Department of Geography.
